说明: In July 2016, the research paper entitled “NEUTRAMS: Neural Network Transformation and Co-design under Neuromorphic Hardware Constraints” by Professors Zhang Youhui and Chen Wenguang of the Brain-like Computing Center was adopted at the 49th International Symposium on Microarchitecture (MICRO 2016), the top conference in the computer system field. This work is completed in concert with Xie Yuan, professor of UCSB. In respect of the brain-like chip programming, it applies the decoupling design concept of hardware and software in traditional computer system to the brain-like computing system, and presents and realizes corresponding neural network application description, compilation and mapping tool. 说明: Recently, the reconfigurable multimodal neural computing chip “Thinker” (code: Thinker) designed by the microelectronics sub-center’s research group headed by Prof. Wei Shaojun and Vice Prof. Yin Shouyi has successfully passed the tape-out and tests—a breakthrough in the Center’s artificial intelligence chip research and development. Artificial intelligence (AI) represents a disruptive technological revolution in the global information industry, and is transforming human production and lifestyles.
